Cerebral Palsy is a brain disorder, caused by damage that occurs in the developing brain that disrupt its ability
to control movement and maintain posture and balance. Symptoms appear during infancy or preschool years, with the condition varying from very mild to serious.
Cerebral Palsy impacts more than 1 million people in the US. Around 150 children in Ireland receive a CP diagnosis annually, and an estimate of 3000 children/young adults & 9500 adults live with it.
Unfortunately, there is no cure, so that is why Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day is so important to spread awareness and advocate.
Cerebral Palsy Guide on ways to participate:
- Wear Green: a symbol of growth & resilience.
- Spread #GoGreen4CP on social media.
