The Decision Support Service is a new service established under the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015. We are part of the Mental Health Commission but will have a new and separate role.
The Decision Support Service exist to promote the rights and interests of people who may need support with decision-making. The DSS is not operational yet but our establishment project is well underway. The DSS are working to a plan to commence the service in mid-2022.
