MCS Case Management is an Irish based company with offices in Dublin and Cork, covering all of Ireland. We are a dedicated team of experts with a wealth of qualifications and experience and come from a range of backgrounds including nursing, nurse management, intellectual disability teaching and holistic therapy. We are registered with both An Bord Altranais (Nursing Board, Ireland) and the Teaching Council of Ireland. We meet the professional standards, guidelines and ethics of the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM) and the Case Management Society of the UK (CMSUK). We partake in continuous professional development both in house and externally in Ireland and the UK.

A message from Siobhan McSweeney

Welcome to the MCS Case Management Website.

My name is Siobhan McSweeney, and I am the founder and CEO of MCS Case Management Ltd. I am a qualified nurse and midwife, having previously worked in various senior managerial roles within the health sector. I am also a case manager with years of experience working with people with brain and spinal injuries, together with their families.

MCS Case Management provides case management services throughout Ireland, to include Northern Ireland. We work with children and adults who have cerebral palsy, an acquired brain injury, spinal injury, autism, and other complex medical needs. We provide a comprehensive case management service designed to maximise the independence and quality of the lives of our clients. We carry out assessments and provide case management reports and cost of care reports to solicitors representing our clients before the courts. We are very familiar with the workings of the Office of the Wards of Court and the recently established Decision Support Service (DSS). We act for both plaintiff and defendant and have also received joint instructions from solicitors in the UK.

At MCS Case Management, I have built up a dedicated team of professionals from a range of backgrounds, to include nursing, midwifery, and special education teaching. We are registered with both the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and the Teaching Council of Ireland. Additionally, we meet the professional standards, guidelines, and ethics of the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM) and the Case Management Society of the UK (CMSUK). We participate in continuous professional development both in-house and externally in Ireland and the UK.

In addition to our case management services, we provide nursing expert reports which involve a comprehensive review of the nursing records, and other relevant records, for the purpose of providing an opinion on duty of care, breach of duty, and causation etc.

Siobhan has a natural positivity, which further supports her leadership capability in full case management. It is a pleasure to work with her.

We were so lucky to meet Siobhan when we did. Antoinette, my sister was 3 years in an acute hospital since her acquired brain injury and we didn't know what to do. When we met Siobhan, she made so many helpful suggestions and changed all our lives. She assisted us in sourcing a suitable bed for Antoinette in Peamount Hospital and sourced Music Therapy for Antoinette which brought such joy to us all. It lights up Antoinette's face and makes her smile. She liaises with Antoinette's consultant, Dr Wallace, and our solicitor. Our dream will be for Antoinette to be cared for at home when medically fit.

Siobhan is a former colleague, we worked together for many years as Assistant Directors of Nursing and Nursing Site Managers. She is a dedicated, warm, kind hearted, generous and a hard-working lady, whose commitment always sees projects through to completion.

For many years, Cantillons Solicitors has instructed Siobhan and the team at MCS Case Management to prepare Care Reports for our clients. The reports are always insightful, well laid out, easy to follow and delivered with a very short turn around. Siobhan takes the time to get know the client, their injuries and their background so that she can compile a report which most accurately reflects the client’s needs.
